The Moving Up Ceremony was a special celebration! It was so much fun to see the fifth graders perform beautiful songs, show their gratitude, and star in their own music videos.
Every year I sit down and write a poem for my students at the end of the year. Here is this year's "I Will Always Remember..." poem.
I Will Always Remember...
Andrew's serious war reenactment photo,
Brooke's acting debut as a scientist and planet Earth in the JABS video,
Charlotte's creative and dramatic poetry reading for Exhibition,
Ellie's limitless energy and willingness to help everyone in our classroom,
Ethan's voracious reading habits, devouring book after book after book,
Jessica's crazy dance moves and calming influence,
Heath's unique and creative artistic talent,
James's easy going attitude and tenacious work ethic,
Jonah's elaborate organizer that helped us in our Mystery Skype Sessions,
Kaiea's excellent book recommendations,
Kamalu's joyful attitude and silly stories,
Kate's take charge and can do attitude during Exhibition,
Katelyn's creative voice and sense of humor in all of her written pieces,
Kiana's bright smile and ability to get along with everyone in our class,
Nate's impressive mathematical ability,
Nicole's determination, focus and her happy hugs,
Oni's ability to be everywhere and do everything,
Rylee's cheer stories and incredible flexibility,
Skylar's detailed personal narrative about swimming the channel with her Dad,
And Spencer's passion for technology.
Have a great summer and I can’t wait to hear about your adventures in middle school!
Love, Mrs. Thomas- June 2014
This is an exceptional, kind and intelligent group of students. I have enjoyed getting to know them and working with them this year.
Thank you so much for your continued support.
I hope you have a relaxing summer and enjoy spending time with family!
